The San Francisco / Bay Area's Club for Stereo Photography Enthusiasts

It’s Official: The GGSS is Now a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit

I’m pleased to announce that the Golden Gate Stereoscopic Society has officially been granted nonprofit 501(c)(3) status by the State of California. This marks an important milestone for our club, providing us with new opportunities for growth, community involvement, and creative expansion.

What does this mean for you and the GGSS?
Our nonprofit status benefits both our members and the future of our organization.

Increased funding opportunities: We can now apply for grants and other funding sources specifically designed for arts and cultural organizations. These funds will enable us to expand our meetings, grow our membership, and host workshops and public exhibitions.

Tax-deductible donations: Contributions made to the Golden Gate Stereoscopic Society are now tax-deductible. Your contributions will not only help sustain and grow the club but also provide financial benefits to you come tax season.

Public events and outreach: Many venues that welcomed us in the past now require IRS and insurance paperwork. Our nonprofit status restores our ability to host events in public spaces like community centers, libraries, and galleries.

Legacy building: Establishing the Golden Gate Stereoscopic Society as a nonprofit institution supports the club’s future, and preserves the creative contributions made by GGSS members.

Of course, the Golden Gate Stereoscopic Society’s greatest asset is your appreciation of stereo photography. Thank you for your continued support.
