We put our monthly competitions on hiatus in February 2023 to make our meetings less formal and more welcoming to guests. Almost six months into this change, our meetings are smoother to run, but some members miss the insight gained when each month’s photo submissions are scored.

Last month, we experimented with a poll, posted at strawpoll.com, that allows participants to select their three favorite photos from the meeting’s slideshow. The poll is simpler than our original scoresheets – thumbnails are lacking, for example. We’ll continue playing with strawpoll.com at our next meeting.
