Stereo photography — 3-D photography — is the marvelous craft of making pictures with the illusion of depth.
Join us at a twice-monthly meeting on Zoom to learn the art of stereo photography and experience fantastic 3-D slideshows.
Given the huge number of Maker Faire attendees who enjoyed our stereo photography, Maker Faire Bay Area 2023 was overwhelmingly successful for the Golden Gate Stereoscopic Society. Our Maker Faire 2023 recap has the details.
The Golden Gate Stereoscopic Society returns to Maker Faire Bay Area, October 13-15 2023.
The Golden Gate Stereoscopic Society is moving to the first and second Tuesday of each month.
At our last Zoom meeting, we tested a 2-minute time limit for each photo with a Zoom timer app. The reaction was positive, and we’ll use the 2-minute time limit at meetings with many photo submissions.
Last month, we experimented with a poll, posted at strawpoll.com, that allows participants to select their three favorite photos from the meeting’s slideshow.
We’ve been meeting the fourth and following Monday for a few years. Is it time for a change?
Starting Monday, May 1, our 3-D slideshows will be simulcast on YouTube.
The special division schedule is updated with our subjects for 2023. Thanks to all members who suggested this year’s subjects.
Special subject: Point Richmond. Stereo photos from our February 18 meetup.
We meet the first and second Tuesday of each month on Zoom. All are welcome!
